“The LORD God of your fathers make you a thousand times so many more as ye are, and bless you, as He hath promised you” (Deuteronomy 1:11).

It is the Lord that commandeth His blessings upon us: No man on Earth can bless us. God shall bless those who seek His presence. His presence with you is the channel through which the blessings of God flows. Blessings can be in terms of peace, grace, victory, graceful attitude, tactful fortitude, changed lives and inner happiness. In the Bible, we can see three blessed women.

  1. WOMAN OF OPPORTUNITY: “Blessed above women shall Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite be, blessed shall she be above women in the tent” (Judges 5:24). Jael overcame the enemy and received the spiritual blessing. Here Jael is called as a blessed woman as she was a woman who utilized the opportunity. Jael means ‘Mountain goat.’ She became a blessed woman when she attained victory over Sisera, the captain of the army of Jabin, the king of Canaan. God used Jael to kill Sisera. When Sisera came to her tent, seeking refuge, she drove the tent nail through his head and killed him. A woman of opportunity became the woman of victory. Jael received a spiritual blessing through her preparation. Jael was fully equipped to face the enemy. Do you have the works of the enemy still alive in your home? Destroy the works of the enemy through your preparation by prayer. Prepared life is a blessed life.
  2. WOMAN OF PRIORITY: “And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women” (Luke 1:28). Mary was pre-destined and received a personal blessing in her life. Mary was the honoured woman and not the hallowed woman to be worshipped and adored. She was the woman of priority because she was chosen by God. She gave first priority to God by accepting His Will in her life. She yielded her life to God’s voice. She had the blessed privilege of bringing forth the Lord Jesus into this world. Mary’s life was worthy enough to receive the Heavenly blessing. Become a woman of God’s choice. The good qualities of inner nature qualify you to become a woman of priority. Like Mary, let us reflect and exhibit submission, the supreme quality. Yielded life is a blessed life.
  3. WOMAN OF RESPONSIBILITY: “And he said, Blessed be thou of the Lord, my daughter: for thou hast shewed more kindness in the latter end than at the beginning…..” (Ruth 3:10). Ruth received a future blessing through her responsible life. God’s blessings were showered upon Ruth when she endured all the hardships and oppositions that came her way. Ruth was a woman of hard labour. She faithfully gleaned corn in the field of Boaz. God sees our faithfulness in the field, which is the Church and blesses our family and secular job. She had the responsibility of bringing the parched corn to Naomi, her mother-in-law. Every hard working person in any field is bound to be blessed. Ruth walked right into the arms of divine providence. Be careful to fulfil God-given responsibilities and experience God’s blessings. Endured life is a blessed life. “He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation” (Ps. 24:5).
