Dear reader, this is a prophetic message to you from God. The Lord says, “My child, this month you will have battles from your enemies. They will fight against you but they will not prevail. I will be with you to grant you the victory” The colossal Goliath came against inexperienced David, but could not prevail against him because God was with him. If God be for you, who can be against you or what can man do to you? There are five blessings of divine presence.

1. PROGRESSING PRESENCE: “And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.” (Exodus 33: 14). When God saw Moses totally dependent on Him in regard to the tremendous responsibility of leading the people of Israel through the wilderness, it was as if the Lord was telling him “Moses, do not worry. In your challenging responsibility, My presence will lead and guide you in every step of the way.” Even in your life, at times, when you do not know the way or what to do next, tell Him, “Lord, I totally depend on you”. Moses cried only for God’s ways “ Shew me now Thy way, that I may know Thee” (Exodus 33: 13). The secret to experience milk and honey is to know God in His way. Pleased with Moses’ prayer, the Lord went along with him, to show him the way. Dear reader, this month, January 2016, the Lord tells you,“I will be with you to show you the way and give you rest”. As Moses beseeched God saying, “If Thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence” (Exodus 33: 15), cry to the Lord,“Lord, I cannot take even one step forward without You”. Further, Moses cried to the Lord, “Is it not by Your going with us, so that we are distinguished, Your people and I, from all the other people on the face of the earth?”(Exodus 33: 16 – Amplified Version). In this month, your family members, neighborhood and co-workers will know that you are special because of God’s presence. As God’s presence melts hills “like wax” (Psalm 97: 5), so will God’s presence melt all your mountains so that you will have an unhindered progress.

2. HIS PROTECTING PRESENCE: “And I will make thee unto this people a fenced brasen wall: and they shall fight against thee, but they shall not prevail against thee: for I am with thee to save thee and to deliver thee, saith the Lord. And I will deliver thee out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem thee out of the hand of the terrible.” (Jeremiah 15: 20 , 21). In Hebrew, it says, “I will preserve you in My hands and My presence will protect you.” The Lord tells you, “Do not worry about the hand of the wicked and terrible. I am with you to protect you. I will make you a fenced brasen wall to those who come against you. They can try anything against this fenced brasen wall, but they cannot hurt it anyway. In the process of hurting you, they will get hurt themselves. No matter whoever they are and whatever they try to do, I will be with you”. With Jesus, you can victoriously pass through the fire and water. David says “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me.” (Psalm 23: 4). As God’s protecting presence was with the three Hebrew men in the fiery furnace and with Daniel in the lions’ den, He will be with you to protect you from every harm and danger that the evil one tries to bring upon you. In this month, the presence of God will protect you when you come in and go out. It is because of God’s protecting presence that we have entered the New Year 2016 and the same presence will continue to protect us throughout this year.

3. HIS PROSPERING PRESENCE: “And the Lord was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man.” Genesis 39: 2. Joseph was taken to Egypt as a slave but God’s presence prospered him. This month, the presence of God will be with you, to prosper you. Who can imagine a prisoner  becoming the premier?

God’s presence alone can perform this. As God was with Joseph and prospered him in the same place where he was falsely accused, defrauded, and degraded, God will be with you to prosper you. This month, do not ask for money or blessing, but cry to God for His presence like David. “As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after Thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God” (Psalm 42: 1,2). Hitherto, you have faced problems, confused about many things, perplexed and troubled in your mind. But this month, the Lord says, “My child, the times of refreshing will come from My presence”. So, repent of the thing that is displeasing in His sight. “Repent ye therefore, and be converted”(Acts 3: 19). Isaac contemplated to go down to Egypt when there arose a famine in the land. But the Lord told him, “Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of: and I will be with thee” (Genesis 26: 2 , 3). When Isaac obeyed, stayed and sowed in that place, the Lord blessed him so that he “received in the same year an hundredfold” (Genesis 26: 12). God tells you “My dear child, do not try to run away from your problem. Be in the chosen place where I have placed you , for I will be with you and prosper you in that very same place.”

4. HIS PROVIDING PRESENCE: “The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want” (Psalm 23:1). David says, as long as I consider my God as my Shepherd and acknowledge myself as His sheep, I need not worry about anything and I will not lack anything. All through this month, acknowledge and confess the following: “My God is with me as my Shepherd and Guide. I will not lack anything spiritually, physically, financially, emotionally and materially”. “He shall have whatsoever he saith” ( Mark 11: 23). Our Lord Jesus was in the marriage feast in Cana of Galilee. There arose a great need in that wedding. The shortage of wine would spoil the wedding and bring a great reproach to the family. But by turning the water into wine, their terrible need was miraculously provided. An ordinary thing was turned into an extra-ordinary thing. After the miracle, everybody tasted and testified that it was the best wine that they had drunk in that wedding. In this month, the presence of our unchanging God will not only make you to see a miracle, but also taste the best. Think about what happened in the wilderness, five thousand men and above, were about to go empty and hungry. Our Lord Jesus Christ, who was with them performed a miracle and provided their need. “They all ate and were satisfied” – Matthew 14: 20(Amplified Version). If the Lord is with you, all your needs will be met miraculously and providentially. The Lord’s providing presence will provide all your needs.

5. HIS PEACE-GIVING PRESENCE: “And He arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm” (Mark 4: 39). When Jesus and His disciples were in a boat, there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the boat, so much that the boat was already filled. But Jesus was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awoke Him. When Jesus arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” The wind ceased, and there was a great calm. Even in your life, problems may come in like storms, but the presence of the Lord will still your storm and calm your raging sea. The phrase, “He arose” found in Mark 4: 39, is a prophetic message to you for this month. The Lord tells you, “My child, why are you so fearful and troubled in your heart? Don’t you know that I am with you. I will rise up on your behalf and rebuke every disturbing situation.” Maybe hitherto your family is in a terrible state. You are unable to share it with anyone. But the Lord says, “My child, your sorrow and sighing shall flee away. Your mourning shall be turned into dancing. I will give you peace”. When there was peace, just imagine the great  rest and relief that those disciples would have enjoyed. Unable to believe their own eyes, they said, “What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?” (Mark 4: 41). The Lord says, “What I am going to do, will amaze you. You will not be able to believe your own eyes. Your situation and circumstance will change”.
