“For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD” (Proverbs 8:35).

Divine favour means God’s supernatural intervention on behalf of God’s people in times of crisis or in times of need.

  1. BARREN BECAME BLESSED: FAVOUR IN THE FORM OF ANSWERED PRAYER

Hannah received favour in the form of answered prayers. “And she said, Let thine handmaid find grace in thy sight. So the woman went her way, and did eat, and her countenance was no more  sad.” (1 Samuel 1:18).  “Therefore also I have lent him to the LORD; as long as he liveth he shall be lent to the LORD. And he worshipped the LORD there.” (1 Samuel 1:28) Hannah was a barren woman. She led a life of shame and reproach. When she went into the presence of the Lord, she had only one petition. She wanted God to make her life fruitful. God answered her prayer by giving her a son, who became a mighty prophet in the land of Israel. Eli, the Priest accused Hannah of being a drunken woman. But when he perceived that God was in favour of Hannah, he assured her of answered prayer. Like Hannah, are you crying out to God? God shall bestow His favour upon you in the form of answered prayers by blessing your life physically, financially and spiritually.

  1. REAPER BECAME OWNER: FAVOUR IN THE FORM OF ATTAINED PLAN

Ruth attained favour in the form of attained plan. “Then she fell on her face, and bowed herself to the ground, and said unto him, Why have I found grace in thine eyes, that thou shouldest take knowledge of me, seeing I  am a stranger?  And Naomi said unto her daughter in law, Blessed  be he of the LORD, who hath not left off his kindness to the living and to the dead. And Naomi said unto her, The man  is near of kin unto us, one of our next kinsmen” (Ruth 2:10, 20). In the life of Ruth, divine favour renewed her shattered hope. Her life was full of regrets and disappointments. She led an empty life. As Ruth decided to trust the Jehovah God, He started bestowing His favours upon her in a strange land. She was led to the field of Boaz. Through divine favour, she attained God’s plan in her life. God’s plan for Ruth was to marry Boaz. Ruth possessed Boaz himself. Even though you face adverse situations, God will enable you to attain the divine plan in your life by His favour.

3.ORPHAN BECAME QUEEN:  FAVOUR IN FORM OF ACCOMPLISHED PURPOSE

Esther received favour in the form of accomplished purpose. “And the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti” (Esther 2:17). Esther, being an orphan led an ordinary life under the custodian care of Mordecai. She was taken along with the other maidens to the king’s court. The King was in search of a Queen in the place of Vasthi. The king bestowed his favour upon Esther by placing the royal crown upon her head. What a divine favour! An orphan became the Queen. After becoming the Queen, she needed king’s favour for the deliverance of the Jews. The king stretched forth his royal sceptre towards her. King’s golden sceptre is a royal signal of divine favour. Divine favour changed Esther into a fulfilling woman. As a result the Jews were delivered. Prepare yourself to receive His favour to accomplish the purposes of God.
